CV122 is a potent heparanase inhibitor with an IC₅₀ value of 2.97 µM. CV122 inhibits proinflammatory cytokines that can be used for sepsis research^[1].

CV122 (50 µM) significantly inhibits heparanase levels following LPS stimulation of macrophages^[1].
CV122 (50 µM) potently inhibits heparanase activity in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), protects cell surface glycocalyx structure, and reduces the expression of adhesion molecules^[1].
