In Vitro

Ru265 (1-10 μM; 30 min or 24 h) produces a concentration-dependent protection of cortical neurons against oxygen–glucose deprivation (OGD)[1].
Ru265 (10 μM; 30 min) blocks calpain activation in cortical neurons subjected to OGD[1].
Ru265 (50 μM; 24 or 48 h) preserves mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis in OGD-treated cortical neurons[1].

Cell Viability Assay[1]

Cell Line: Mouse cortical neurons
Concentration: 1-10 μM
Incubation Time: 24 h before OGD (90 min)
Result: Produced a concentration-dependent elevation of cell viability 24 h later with an EC50 of 5.0 µM.
In Vivo

Ru265 (3-30 mg/kg; i.p.; once) produces dose-dependent increases in seizure-like behaviours in mice[1].
Ru265 (1-10 mg/kg; i.p.; once) reduces hypoxic/ischemic-induced sensorimotor deficits and brain injury in mice[1].
