(-)-Eseroline fumarate also induces the release of adenine nucleotides and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) from neuronal cells, thus induce cell death. (-)-Eseroline fumarate inhibits the electrically evoked twitches of the mouse vas deferens and of the guinea-pig ileum .
