N6-methyladenosine (m6A), the most abundant internal RNA modification, functions in diverse biological processes, including regulation of embryonic stem cell self-renewal and differentiation. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is a large protein complex, consisting in part of methyltransferase-like 3 (METTL3) and methyltransferase-like 14 (METTL14) catalytic subunits .
