Description

Lobenzarit disodium (CCA) is an anti-arthritic and anti-oxidative agent[1].

In Vitro

Lobenzarit disodium (CCA) inhibits chemiluminescence induced by activated oxygen with an IC50 of 1.6 μM[1].
Lobenzarit disodium (0.3-300 μM) inhibits the production of lipid peroxide and the IgG alteration induced by UV irradiation[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Lobenzarit disodium (CCA; 10 and 50 mg/kg; i.p.; daily for 7 days) exerts its anti-arthritic effect through the activation of suppressor T lymphocytes[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Sprague-Dawley rats[2]
Dosage: 10 and 50 mg/kg
Administration: IP; daily for 7 days
Result: Showed anti-arthritic effect, but had no therapeutic effect in arthritic rats which were depleted of T lymphocytes.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
