Description

Ovalbumin Antibody is an unconjugated, approximately 43 kDa, mouse-derived, Ovalbumin monoclonal antibody. Ovalbumin Antibody can be used for: WB expriments in chicken background without labeling.

Background

Ovalbumin (OVA) is used in a variety of laboratory products that contain OVA as a carrier protein. To raise antibodies against small non-immunogenic molecules, called haptens, it is often necessary to couple them to a carrier protein, such as OVA. This antibody is a good reagent that may be used for the development of detection assay in Western blot to trace the remaining OVA in clinical products in vivo or research products in vitro.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
