Acne inversa

Definition:

Acne inversa (AI), also known as hidradenitis suppurativa, is a chronic inflammatory disorder of hair follicles involving the apocrine gland-bearing areas of the body. Its characteristic features include recurrent formation of painful skin abscesses, fistulating sinuses, and disfiguring scars.
