Ebola disease

Definition:

Ebola disease, also known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever, is a deadly infectious disease caused by ebolaviruses within the genus Ebolavirus in the family Filoviridae of -ssRNA viruses. Four ebolavirus are known to cause Ebola, and a related virus in Filoviridae causes Marburg disease. The first ebolavirus was discovered in 1976 in South Sudan.
