G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs)

Definition:

G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) are the largest group of membrane receptor proteins. GPCRs comprise a large family of cell-surface receptors that regulate many cell functions, including cell proliferation, survival and motility. GPCRs also is a key player in tumour growth, angiogenesis and metastasis.
