Pervasive developmental disorder (PDD)

Definition:

Pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs)/Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), and represent a class of disorders sharing similar features and including distinct diagnoses: autistic disorder, Asperger syndrome (AS), PDD not otherwise specified (PDDNOS), and childhood disintegrative disorder (CDD). PDD/ASDs are persistent disabling neurodevelopmental disorders clinically evident from early childhood.
