Definition:

Proximity Labelling Technology is based on specific chemical modifications that occur when molecules are spatially adjacent. By fusing a labeling enzyme to the bait protein, it modifies adjacent captured proteins and generates labeled molecules that can be used for separation or identification. This technique is suitable for studying complex protein interaction networks and dynamic intracellular processes.
