Proximity Ligation Assay

Definition:

Proximity Ligation Assay is a DNA probe-based technique where two antibody probes bind to different targets within the same complex. The DNA on the probes is ligated into a circular molecule, which is then amplified and detected by fluorescence to analyze the target protein complex. This technique is widely used for detecting low-abundance protein complexes and studying protein interactions.
