T7 Phage Display

Definition:

T7 Phage Display is used to display short peptides to study their binding properties. T7 is a double-stranded DNA phage, and its thin-walled icosahedral capsid is composed of 415 coat proteins (product of gene 10). The carboxyl end of the coat protein gp10 can tolerate insertions without affecting its ability to assemble into a functional phage capsid. This method allows both low-density and high-density display, but it is limited to short peptides.
