Thermal Shift Assay

Definition:

Thermal Shift Assay is used to study how ligand binding stabilizes the native state of a target protein. By monitoring changes in the protein’s melting temperature after ligand binding, it can determine the stabilizing effect of the ligand on the native state and the binding tightness.
