Transcriptional Complementation Assay

Definition:

Transcriptional Complementation Assay is used to study the interaction between two hybrid proteins by splitting the activity of a transcription factor (DNA binding domain and transcriptional activation domain). This method restores the transcription factor's function through interaction, driving expression of a reporter gene.
