Description

BT101 (sodium), a complementary aptamer, has been developed to specifically inhibit BT100 function. BT100, a aptamer, inhibits binding of von Willebrand factor (VWF) to platelet glycoprotein GPIb, preventing arterial thrombosis[1].

In Vitro

BT101 bound to the core aptamer BT100 at a 1:1 ratio, inhibited BT200 (a pegylated form of the aptamer BT100) binding to purified human VWF, and reversed BT200-induced inhibition of both VWF activity and VWF-dependent platelet function in vitro.

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
