In Vivo

rel-Tranylcypromine (SKF 385) (0.1 to 3.0 mg/kg; intravenous injection; mongrel dogs, weighing 5-10 kg) elevates the blood pressure. The extent and duration of the rise of blood pressure by the drug depended on the dose administered. When the administration of rel-Tranylcypromine is repeated again and again, the depressor response of the animal to rel-Tranylcypromine is usually obtained[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
