Description

Anti-inflammatory agent 89 (5c) inhibits all asthma features. Anti-inflammatory agent 89 exhibits a significative effect on the restoration of pulmonary structure and reduction of lung inflammation through both its corticosteroid and H2S releasing component, which is proming for research of Asthma[1].

In Vitro

Anti-inflammatory agent 89 (100 μM, 24 h) shows no reduction in cell viability in RBL-2H3 cells[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Cytotoxicity Assay[1]

Cell Line: RBL-2H3 cells
Concentration: 100 μM
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Did not show any reduction in cell viability compared to the vehicle in RBL-2H3 cells.
In Vivo

Anti-inflammatory agent 89 (1-2 mg/kg, i.p., administrated 30 min before ovalbumin sensitization on days 0 and 7 for 21 days) inhibits asthma like features by acting on pulmonary inflammation in Ovalbumin (OVA) (HY-W250978) sensitized mice[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Female BALB/c mice (20 g, 8 weeks) of OVA sensitization[2]
Dosage: 1-2 mg/kg
Administration: i.p., administrated 30 min before ovalbumin sensitization on days 0 and 7 for 21 days
Result: Inhibited bronchial hyperreactivity in a dose-dependent manner and reduced pulmonary IL-13 levels that well correlate with bronchial reactivity in OVA (HY-W250978) sensitized mice. Reduced OVA-induced α-SMA over-expression and restored the structure of the alveolar septa, bronchial epithelium and airway smooth muscle in OVA (HY-W250978) sensitized mice.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
