Description

Luteinizing Hormone beta Antibody (YA1095) is a rabbit-derived non-conjugated IgG antibody (Clone NO.: YA1095), targeting Luteinizing Hormone beta. Luteinizing Hormone beta Antibody (YA1095) can be used for IHC-P experiment in human background.

Background

The related gene is a member of the glycoprotein hormone beta chain family and encodes the beta subunit of luteinizing hormone (LH). Glycoprotein hormones are heterodimers consisting of a common alpha subunit and an unique beta subunit which confers biological specificity. LH is expressed in the pituitary gland and promotes spermatorelated genesis and ovulation by stimulating the testes and ovaries to synthesize steroids. The related genes for the beta chains of chorionic gonadotropin and for luteinizing hormone are contiguous on chromosome 19q13.3. Mutations in The related gene are associated with hypogonadism which is characterized by infertility and pseudohermaphroditism.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
