Description

Phospho-Glutamate Receptor 1 (AMPA Subtype) (Ser845) Antibody (YA2081) is a biotin-conjugated non-conjugated IgG antibody, targeting Phospho-Glutamate Receptor 1 (AMPA Subtype) (Ser845), with a predicted molecular weight of 102 kDa (observed band size: 102 kDa). Phospho-Glutamate Receptor 1 (AMPA Subtype) (Ser845) Antibody (YA2081) can be used for WB experiment in human, rat background.

Background

Glutamate receptors are the predominant excitatory neurotransmitter receptors in the mammalian brain and are activated in a variety of normal neurophysiologic processes. These receptors are heteromeric protein complexes with multiple subunits, each possessing transmembrane regions, and all arranged to form a ligand-gated ion channel. The classification of glutamate receptors is based on their activation by different pharmacologic agonists. The related gene belongs to a family of alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole propionate (AMPA) receptors. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for The related gene.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
