Definition:

Glycosyltransferase are enzymes that catalyze the synthesis of glycosidic linkages by the transfer of a sugar residue from a donor substrate to an acceptor. Glycosyltransferase takespart in the biosynthesis of disaccharides, oligosaccharides, and polysaccharides.
