Homogeneous Time Resolved Fluorescence (HTRF) is a technique based on certain fluorescent dyes that exhibit unusually long fluorescence lifetimes. It measures reaction rates by eliminating background fluorescence interference and using non-radiative energy transfer or quenching between fluorescent rare earth metal chelates and different receptors. This method is widely used in drug screening, enzyme kinetics research, and molecular interaction detection, especially for experiments requiring high sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratios.
