Definition:

Solid-State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance is used to study macromolecules that are insoluble or do not form crystals, especially suitable for studying proteins, fibers, and complexes over 100 kDa. Solid-state NMR spectra can directly capture anisotropic and orientation-related interactions, making it suitable for structural analysis of membrane proteins, polymers, and amorphous materials.
