Biological Activity: S-(N-PhenethylthiocarbaMoyl)-L-cysteine (PEITC-Cys), an anticarcinogenic agent, has antileukemic activity. S-(N-PhenethylthiocarbaMoyl)-L-cysteine inhibits DNA synthesis in HL60 cells[1]. S-(N-PhenethylthiocarbaMoyl)-L-cysteine is a P450 inhibitor[2].
