Description

Kynostatin 272 (KNI 272) is a potent HIV protease inhibitor. Kynostatin 272 inhibits the activity of the HIV protease by simulating the substrate transition state of the HIV protease, thus preventing a key step in the replication of the HIV virus. Kynostatin 272 provides an important research foundation for the development of drugs for HIV and AIDS[1][2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
