In Vitro

Product Information
This product is expressed by recombinant Escherichia coli, N-terminal His Tagged, molecular weight 105 kDa, buffer components 20 mM Tris-HCl, 200 mM NaCl (pH 7.5), 0.5% Trehalose, can be used for the phosphorylation of fucose to generate Fuc-1-P, can also further catalyze Fuc-1-P to generate GDP-Fuc, as a donor for glycosyltransferase to transfer fucose, can be used as a tool enzyme for the synthesis of GDP-Fuc.

Instructions
1. Add substrate according to the reaction system, 5 mM MnCl2, and appropriate buffer salts (such as Tris-HCl) can be added to adjust the pH to 7.5-8.5, and add appropriate amount of FKP (according to reaction requirements)
2. After mixing, incubate the sample at 37℃ for 30-60 min. The recommended reaction buffer is Tris-HCl (pH8.0), and most common biological buffers are also applicable, such as Tris or PBS.

Notes
When the system is scaled up, the incubation time or enzyme amount needs to be adjusted according to the actual situation. The mixture can be shaken at a low speed. Adding inorganic pyrophosphatase can increase the conversion rate.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
