MB-0223 is a potent and selective dynamin-related GTPase Drp1 partial inhibitor (IC50=1.3 μM) over other dynamin family members, Opa 1 and dynamin-1 (IC50>100 μM)[1].

IC50 & Target

IC50: 1.3 μM (Drp1)[1]

In Vitro

MB-0223 (30 μM; 48 hours) increases mitochondrial DNA levels in mfn1- knockout MEFs deficient in mitochondrial fusion[1].
MB-0223 (0-100 μM) is a partial inhibitor and exhibits a maximum inhibition of 67% of Drp1 activity. MB-0223 exhibits >100-fold selectivity for Drp1 over two other dynamin-like GTPases, Opa1 and Dnm1[1].
