Thyroidectomy caused a significant increase in glucosamine-6-phosphate synthetase activity. Activity was returned to normal by injection of a physiological concentration of triiodothyronine. The results suggest that thyroid Hormones regulate the activity of this Enzyme in sublingual glands.
