Description

Quazolast (RHC 3988) is a orally active mast cell stabilizer. Quazolast also is a potent mediator release inhibitor. Quazolast reduces the gastric damage. Quazolast has the potential for the research of gastric ulcers[1][2].

In Vivo

Quazolast (0.2, 1, 5 mg/kg; p.o.) reduces the gastric damage in rats induced by absolute ethanol (0.9 mg/kg)[1].
Quazolast (3.1, 6.3, 12.5, 25 mg/kg; p.o.) reduces the gastric damage associated with 0.6 N HC1 administration[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: 150 g Male Sprague Dawley rat[1]
Dosage: 0.2, 1, 5 mg/kg
Administration: P.o.
Result: Decreased the rat gastric mucosa damage in a dose dependent manner and reduced the gastric ulcer index (68%) at 5 mg/kg in rat induced by absolute ethanol (0.9 mg/kg).
