Enolase 3/ENO3 Protein, Human (His)

Cat. No.: HY-P75732
COA Handling Instructions

Enolase 3/ENO3 protein acts as a glycolytic enzyme, promoting the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate into phosphoenolpyruvate. In addition to its role in glycolysis, ENO3 appears to play a crucial role in the development and regeneration of striated muscle. Enolase 3/ENO3 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived Enolase 3/ENO3 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Description

Enolase 3/ENO3 protein acts as a glycolytic enzyme, promoting the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate into phosphoenolpyruvate. In addition to its role in glycolysis, ENO3 appears to play a crucial role in the development and regeneration of striated muscle. Enolase 3/ENO3 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived Enolase 3/ENO3 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Background

Enolase 3 (ENO3) is a glycolytic enzyme responsible for catalyzing the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate in the glycolytic pathway. Beyond its classical role in energy metabolism, ENO3 appears to play a specific function in striated muscle development and regeneration. The enzyme's involvement in these processes suggests a role in supporting the energetic demands of muscle tissues during development and repair. This dual functionality highlights the multifaceted roles of ENO3 in both fundamental metabolic pathways and specialized cellular processes related to muscle development and regeneration.

Biological Activity

Specific activity is 5235 pmol/min/µg, and was obtained by measuring the decrease of NAD that incubate at 37 ºC for 5 minutes in absorbance at 340 nm resulting from NADH at pH 6.5.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
