Cat. No.: HY-P72942
COA Handling Instructions

HGFR Protein is a receptor tyrosine kinase that acts as a signal transducer of the extracellular matrix by binding to hepatocyte growth factor /HGF ligands. HGFR Protein participate in the activation of RAS-ERK, PI3 kinase-AKT, and PLCgamma-PKC signaling pathways. HGFR Protein is essential for embryonic development, organogenesis, and wound healing. HGFR Protein, Rat (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant rat-derived HGFR protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-hFc labeled tag. The total length of HGFR Protein, Rat (HEK293, Fc) is 908 a.a., with molecular weight of ~97 & 39 kDa, respectively.

Background

The FITC-Labeled HGFR protein, a receptor tyrosine kinase, functions as a signal transducer from the extracellular matrix by binding to hepatocyte growth factor/HGF ligand. It plays a pivotal role in regulating diverse physiological processes, including proliferation, scattering, morphogenesis, and cell survival. Upon ligand binding at the cell surface, FITC-Labeled HGFR undergoes autophosphorylation on its intracellular domain, creating docking sites for downstream signaling molecules. Upon activation by ligand, it interacts with the PI3-kinase subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, STAT3, or the adapter GAB1, leading to the activation of multiple signaling cascades, including RAS-ERK, PI3 kinase-AKT, and PLCgamma-PKC. RAS-ERK activation is associated with morphogenetic effects, while PI3K/AKT coordinates prosurvival effects. In embryonic development, FITC-Labeled HGFR signaling contributes to gastrulation, the development and migration of neuronal precursors, angiogenesis, and kidney formation. During skeletal muscle development, it is crucial for the migration of muscle progenitor cells and the proliferation of secondary myoblasts. In adults, it participates in wound healing, organ regeneration, tissue remodeling, and promotes the differentiation and proliferation of hematopoietic cells. Additionally, in the context of microbial infection, FITC-Labeled HGFR acts as a receptor for Listeria monocytogenes internalin InlB, mediating the entry of the pathogen into cells[1][2][3][4].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Dilution Calculator

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
