Background

USAG-1 protein appears to be implicated in the initiation of endometrial receptivity, potentially contributing to the preparation for implantation and sensitization for the decidual cell reaction. Moreover, it plays a role in modulating signaling pathways by enhancing Wnt signaling and concurrently inhibiting TGF-beta signaling. Notably, USAG-1 acts as a direct antagonist to BMP2, BMP4, BMP6, and BMP7 in a dose-dependent manner, suggesting a regulatory function in the BMP signaling pathway. It interacts with high affinity with BMP2, BMP4, BMP6, and BMP7, indicating a direct involvement in the modulation of these signaling molecules.

Biological Activity

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human USAG1 is coated at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well), the concentration of rhLRP-6 that produces 50% of the optimal binding response is found to be approximately 0.0323 μg/mL.
