Description

VSN-16 is a cannabinoid receptor agonist with vasodilatory activity. VSN-16 can be used for the study of multiple sclerosis[1].

In Vitro

VSN-16 (10 μM) acts on the endothelium to release nitric oxide and activate KCa and TRPV1[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

VSN-16 (15 mg/kg; i.v.; once) transiently increases blood pressure and caused a longer-lasting increase in mesenteric vascular conductance in conscious rats[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
