Description

1-(4-Chlorobenzhydryl)piperazine is a biochemical reagent that can be used as a biological material or organic compound for life science related research.

In Vitro

1-(4-Chlobenzhydryl)piperazine is an inactive metabolite of meclizine and chlorcyclizine. It has also been found as an impurity in commercial preparations of hydroxyzine and cetirizine. 1-(4-Chlorobenzhydryl)piperazine has been used in the synthesis of voltage-gated sodium channel 1.7 (Nav1.7) inhibitors, anticancer agents, and antihistamines.

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
