20-Deoxocarnosol (compound 7) is a potent anti-cancer agent that can be found in the roots of Salvia deserta. 20-Deoxocarnosol shows cytotoxicity in cancer cells[1].

In Vitro

Deoxocarnosol (compound 7) (0-40 μM) shows cytotoxicity with IC50 values of ?40, 32.70, 15.15, ?40, 24.79, ?40 μM for :A549, SMMC-7721, HL-60, MCF-7, SW480, BEAS-2B cells, respectively[1].
