Solution State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

Definition:

Solution State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance is used to analyze the types, quantities, and arrangements of atoms in chemical systems, liquids, and solids. It is widely applied in molecular structure analysis and dynamics studies. Solution-state NMR requires the sample to be dissolved in deuterated solvents, averaging anisotropic interactions through rapid random rotation, generating high-resolution spectra. However, for macromolecules over 30 kDa, signal complexity and solubility limitations make complete structural determination difficult.
