Description

CDAP is an organic cyanylating reagent that can be used for preparation of solid phase affinity reagents, modification of protein thiols and nucleotide delivery. CDAP also activates polysaccharides with a variety of chemical properties. CDAP can be used to prepare conjugate vaccines and other immune reagents[1].

In Vitro

CDAP can be used to activate a broad range of acidic, neutral and other classes of polysaccharides, which can then be clerivatized with diamines, dihydrazides or other functional groups in preparation for coupling to proteins[1].
Proteins can be directly conjugated to CDAP-activated polysaccharides, without the need for additional spacer molecules, thereby simplifying the preparation of conjugate vaccines[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
