Description

Cnidicin, a coumarin, inhibits the degranulation of mast cell and the nitric oxide (NO) generation in RAW 264.7 cells[1].

In Vitro

Cnidicin shows a significant inhibition upon the release of beta-hexosaminidase from the cultured RBL-2H3 cells in a dose dependent manner (IC50= 25 μM) and upon the nitric oxide production from the activated RAW264.7 cells (IC50=7.5 μM)[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
