  2. Bacterial Phytohormone
  3. Coronatine

Coronatine is a plant growth regulator that mimicks the jasmonic acid-isoleucine conjugate (JA-Ile), targets the jasmonic acid receptor COI1, activates the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, thereby inhibiting salicylic acid (SA)-dependent defense responses. Coronatine antagonizes the stomatal closure, induces plant cell necrosis and chlorosis, interfers with plant hormone balance, thereby promoting pathogen infection.

Description

Coronatine is a plant growth regulator that mimicks the jasmonic acid-isoleucine conjugate (JA-Ile), targets the jasmonic acid receptor COI1, activates the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, thereby inhibiting salicylic acid (SA)-dependent defense responses. Coronatine antagonizes the stomatal closure, induces plant cell necrosis and chlorosis, interfers with plant hormone balance, thereby promoting pathogen infection[1][2][3][4].

In Vitro

Coronatine (1 μM, 24 h) induces the expression of NAC transcription factor genes (ANAC019, ANAC055 and ANAC072), inhibits Abscisic acid (HY-100560)-induced stomatal closure and reopen stomata, inhibits the accumulation of Salicylic acid (HY-B0167), thereby weakening the plant's immune response[3].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
