  3. Eberconazole

Eberconazole is a dichlorinated imidazole derivative with antifungal activity. Eberconazole is more effective than Clotrimazole (HY-10882), Ketoconazole (HY-B0105), and Miconazole (HY-B0454). Eberconazole has potential for the study of dermatophytosis.

At equivalent molar concentrations, both the salt and free forms of a compound exhibit comparable biological activity. Nevertheless, the salt form (Eberconazole nitrate) usually boasts enhanced water solubility and stability.

Description

Eberconazole is a dichlorinated imidazole derivative with antifungal activity. Eberconazole is more effective than Clotrimazole (HY-10882), Ketoconazole (HY-B0105), and Miconazole (HY-B0454). Eberconazole has potential for the study of dermatophytosis[1][2].

In Vitro

Eberconazole (0.03-2 μg/mL, 7 days) exhibits significant antifungal activity against 200 strains of dermatophytes, with the strongest activity against Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Eberconazole nitrate is a dichlorinated imidazole derivative with antifungal activity. Eberconazole nitrate is more effective than Clotrimazole (HY-10882), Ketoconazole (HY-B0105), and Miconazole (HY-B0454). Eberconazole nitrate has potential for the study of dermatophytosis[1][2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
