Description

G-{d-Arg}-GDSP is an RGD peptide analogue that binds to the adhesion receptor of integrins and inhibits cellular fibronectin attachment as well as osteoclast resorption[1].

In Vitro

G-{d-Arg}-GDSP (17-850 μM, 10 days) significantly inhibits osteoclastic resorption at 170 μM in 17-day-old fetal mouse metacarpals and inhibits 45Ca release in osteoclast precursor-dependent bone organ culture[1].
G-{d-Arg}-GDSP (170 μM, 4 days) shows inhibition of anchorage of periosteal TRAP+ precursors to the mineralized matrix and subsequent osteoclast formation compared with the control group[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
