1. GPCR/G Protein Neuronal Signaling
  2. Neuropeptide Y Receptor
  3. Neuropeptide Y (human) (free acid)

Neuropeptide Y (human) free acid upregulates the adhesiveness of human endothelial cells for leukocytes. Neuropeptide Y belongs to the pancreatic polypeptide family, plays an important role in circadian rhythms, neurogenesis, and neuroprotection, nociception, feeding behavior, energy regulation, neuronal excitability, emotion, cognition, and stress response.

Description

Neuropeptide Y (human) free acid upregulates the adhesiveness of human endothelial cells for leukocytes. Neuropeptide Y belongs to the pancreatic polypeptide family, plays an important role in circadian rhythms, neurogenesis, and neuroprotection, nociception, feeding behavior, energy regulation, neuronal excitability, emotion, cognition, and stress response[1][2].

In Vitro

Neuropeptide Y (human) free acid inhibits cyclic AMP accumulation in SK-N-MC cells stimulated by Isoproterenol (HY-B0468), Dopamine, Vasoactive intestinal peptide, Cholera toxin, and Forskolin (HY-15371)[3].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
