Description

Oxytocin antiparallel dimer is the disulfide-bridged homo peptide dimer. Oxytocin dimer has oxytocin and vasopressin-like activity with less toxic than oxytocin[1][2].

In Vitro

The parallel and antiparallel homo/hetero bis-cystine dimers of oxytocin and deamino-oxytocin show biological activities ranged from 0.2% to 6% that of oxytocin[1].
