  4. IL-11 Receptor

IL-11 receptor is a type-I transmembrane protein, binding to interleukin 11. The IL-11 receptor comprises IL-11Rα and an incompletely characterized beta subunit[1]. IL-11 binds to IL-11 receptor and induces gp130 homodimerization, activates several intracellular signaling cascades, among them the Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription (Jak/STAT), the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), and the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway[2].
