Description

PZ-II-029 is a GABAA positive allosteric modulator that selectively binds with high affinity to α6β3γ2. PZ-II-029 shows anti-migraine effects[1].

In Vivo

PZ-II-029 (1-10 mg/kg; i.p.; 30 min before Capsaicin instillation) inhibits central and peripheral trigeminal responses in a rat migraine model[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Male Wistar rats (250-300 g; 8-10 weeks) induced by intra-cisternal (i.c.) instillation of Capsaicin[1].
Dosage: 1, 3, or 10 mg/kg
Administration: i.p.; 30 min before Capsaicin instillation
Result: Significantly attenuated the trigeminal cervical complex (TCC) neuronal activation and trigeminal ganglia (TG) calcitonin gene-related peptide immunoreactivity (CGRP-ir) elevation, and dural CGRP depletion induced by capsaicin.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
