Description

ABL1, Human (GST) is a non-receptor tyrosine-protein kinase. ABL1, Human is implicated in a wide range of cellular processes, including regulation of cell growth and survival, oxidative stress and DNA-damage responses, actin dynamics and cell migration, transmission of information about the cellular environment through integrin signaling.

Background

ABL1 is a 145 kDa protein that contains an N-cap, the tandem SH3, SH2 and SH1 domains, four proline-rich SH3 binding sites, three nuclear localization signals, one nuclear exporting signal, a DNA-binding domain, and an actin-binding domain. The ABL1 protein is implicated in a wide range of cellular processes, including regulation of cell growth and survival, oxidative stress and DNA-damage responses, actin dynamics and cell migration, transmission of information about the cellular environment through integrin signaling. ABL1 protein serves as a key hub that integrates signals from various extracellular and intracellular sources to control cell cycle and apoptosis[1][2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Dilution Calculator

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
