EphB1 Protein, Mouse (sf9, His-GST)

Cat. No.: HY-P75747
Handling Instructions

EphB1 protein is a receptor tyrosine kinase that participates in bidirectional signaling with ephrin B ligands (including EFNB1, EFNB2, and EFNB3). It plays a crucial role in retinal axon guidance, neural progenitor cell regulation, dendritic spine maturation, synapse formation, angiogenesis, targeted cell migration, and muscle stem cell maintenance. EphB1 Protein, Mouse (sf9, His-GST) is the recombinant mouse-derived EphB1 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His, N-GST labeled tag.

Background

EphB1 protein is a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds to ephrin-B ligands on neighboring cells, resulting in contact-dependent bidirectional signaling. This receptor mediates both forward signaling and reverse signaling pathways. Its ligands include EFNB1, EFNB2, and EFNB3, which play important roles in various cellular processes. During nervous system development, EphB1 regulates retinal axon guidance and interacts with EFNB2. In the adult nervous system, it works together with EFNB3 to regulate chemotaxis, proliferation, and polarity of neural progenitors. EphB1 is also involved in dendritic spine maturation, synapse formation, angiogenesis, targeted cell migration, and adhesion. Activation by EFNB1 and other ephrin-B ligands activates MAPK/ERK and JNK signaling pathways, which regulate cell migration and adhesion. Additionally, EphB1 is important for maintaining the pool of muscle stem cells (satellite cells) by promoting self-renewal and reducing activation and differentiation.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
