PCDH7 Protein, Human (sf9, His)

Cat. No.: HY-P75956
Handling Instructions

PCDH7 Protein, an integral membrane protein, belongs to the PCDHδ1 subfamily and it is highly expressed in brain and heart. PCDH7 is a synaptically localized, GluN1-interacting protein that regulates synapse morphology and function. PCDH7 is the first trans-membrane protein that inhibits homotypic cell-in-cell (hoCIC) formation to promote tumor growth. PCDH7 Protein, Human (sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived PCDH7 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His labeled tag.

Description

PCDH7 Protein, an integral membrane protein, belongs to the PCDHδ1 subfamily and it is highly expressed in brain and heart. PCDH7 is a synaptically localized, GluN1-interacting protein that regulates synapse morphology and function. PCDH7 is the first trans-membrane protein that inhibits homotypic cell-in-cell (hoCIC) formation to promote tumor growth[1][2]. PCDH7 Protein, Human (sf9, His) is the recombinant human-derived PCDH7 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-His labeled tag.

Background

PCDH7 as the first trans-membrane protein that inhibits hoCIC formation to promote tumor growth. PCDH7 overexpression reduces synaptic NMDA receptor currents. PCDH7 can regulate dendritic spine morphology and synaptic function. PCDH7 is highly expressed in the brain and has been linked to CNS disorders, including epilepsy. PCDH7 increases the level of pMLC2 leading to enhanced actomyosin at the intercellular region and compromised hoCIC formation[2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Dilution Calculator

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
