S6 peptide is a potentially important lamin kinase. S6 peptide is involved in the process of cardiac hypertrophy induced by mechanical loading. S6 peptide can be activated by many kinds of growth factors[1].

In Vitro

S6 peptide (50 μg) activity is increased by primary cardiac myocyte stretching (isolated from ventricles of 1-day-old Wistar rats), which may play an important role in the induction of the specific genes and the increase in the protein synthesis[1].
