Description

Seletracetam (Ucb 44212) lithium, as an analog of the antiepileptic agent Levetiracetam, is a SV2A modulator for the research of epilepsy[1][2][3].

IC50 & Target

SV2A[1]

In Vitro

Seletracetam lithium decreases seizure activity in a number of epilepsy models and binds to the synaptic vesicle protein SV2A[2].
Seletracetam lithium decreases synaptic responses in a time-, frequency- and concentration-dependent manner[2].
Seletracetam lithium modifies rates of presynaptic release[2].
Seletracetam lithium inhibits high-voltage-activated Ca2+ currents and intracellular Ca2+ increase in rat cortical neurons in vitro[3].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
